Minya was represented at the 2007 Bolzano International Modern and Contemporary Art Fair, May 10-13. In its 4th year, the Kunstart is fast becoming an established event in the world calendar of art fairs. This year there were over 80 galleries invited from around the world including from New York, London and for the first time from China. Minya
Minya's work was very well received during the fair. Her latest works are a visual artistic representation of the history of communication. From the cave drawings of prehistoric man, through the start of civilization and the written word in the East and Mid East and through to the modern technologies of binary code and the pixilaed images of today, Minya interprets the development in subtle mono-chromatic shades and not so subtle textures. The work is very elegant despite the many primitive depictions. The transitions between the historic and technological advances are seamless and intriguing. Lighting also plays a large part in the showing of her work as the many layers and textures on her canvas allows light and shadow to add further dimension to the images. Her works pleasure the eye but also stimulate the intellect, a rare trait.
