Roberto J. Valera

Although I've only been painting for less than ten years I feel that was what I was meant to do all the time. My life became full and alive when I began painting. My art has become my life, my source for life's energy and strength

Carla van den Berg

Carla van den Berg (1955) was born in The Netherlands, she started painting when she was very young. At the moment Carla paints with acrylic on her own manually crafted paper which she makes so thick and firm that it is almost carton. Sometimes she incorporates twigs in her paper. She also makes ink wash drawings. In her art, Carla is inspired by petroglyphs and secular mainly Indian symbolism. With her art she intend to encourage people to make contact with their feelings. Visit spirit-art.nl as the personal site of Carla.

Jan Peter Opheusden

Jan Peter paints, sculpts, does screen printing and paints. Jan Peter is a lightning artist not only with a brush but also with his hands. The canvas is his pallet and acryl his favourite paint, nice and quick as life. He uses mixed media with chalk as basis to obtain the right effect. He paints on canvas, panel or paper, human figures, nature, things of every-day, movements, dancers, theatre or sports and sometimes a child portrait as intensive finger exercise. “I want to transmit feelings. I don’t paint pretty things and I know, by experience, that people acquire my work for this emanated warmth. Therefore painting is my passion.”

Sarah Valeri

My works seems to be in flux now along with my life, but it all becomes part of the new language. I like to seek out vitality in everything I see, but much of my new work (not in this piece!) is beginning to incorporate more delicacy. I also have tendency towards the animal and the organic..

Lauren van Oers

Watch out! After taking up a brush or pencil it is difficult to stop. My work of art, both figurative and abstract, is always inspired by the visual reality. I try to find my own way in expressing conventional artistic topics, like the nude, the portrait and nature. I like to think about my paintings as individuals that grow due to antagonistic forces of creation and destruction, like the evolution of organisms in nature. I have studied Biology at the Leiden University. After that I have graduated from the art academy "Willem de Kooning" in Rotterdam. I am born in the Netherlands in 1963. Please have a look at my work and enjoy!

Lucien van Oosten

Lucien’s command of both the chroma and chromatic techniques, are eloquently depicted in the beautiful pieces of artwork he has created. Lucien is proficient in pencil, colored pencil, pen/ink and mixed media drawing techniques. One of his favorite styles of drawing is pointillism. Lucien uses this technique and others to create subject study sketches from which he creates his paintings.

Peter van Oostzanen

Peter van Oostzanen is an artist based in the Netherlands, presenting surreal, narrative paintings. He is influenced by Dali, Michael Parkes, the Magic realists and the Old Dutch masters, like Vermeer.

Robert Vanderhorst

Vanderhorst's surreal style and details imagery appeals to collectors with an eye for art and an open mind. The bizarre imagination and attention to fine detail in the classical paintings of Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali was the initial inspiration for Robert's exploration into surrealism. His work also reflects the influence of three additional artists whom he considers masters as well as mentors. The ironic and profound juxtapositions of the images of the Belgian surrealist René Magritte, the hauntingly mathematical and exacting graphics of M.C. Escher, and the superb mastery of light and technique of Vermeer, have provided Vanderhorst with a visual and technical foundation upon which his canvases are built. "With surrealism, I try to create imagery that makes demands and asks the viewer to participate," says Robert. "The scenes can be confusing and troublesome, but still impart an odd sense of cohesion and normalcy."

Mireille Dubois Vanhove

Anna VanMatre

The life of the sky tells us about life on the earth. The sky's activity points to what can or what cannot happen below - always too much or not enough rain, always too much or not enough sunlight. We need only look to the sky to learn the drama unfolding on the "earth stage." But what we see over the earth is not only the sky. Maybe we can find that which can work as a sky over the human existence, something to help show us the constant motion and actual direction of our lives.

Daniela Vasileva

Bulgarian-born,American-based artist,Trained at the fine Art Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria. Daniela Vasilevas works essentially concentrate on the depiction and conveyance of human emotions.Through her personal unconvetional vision of beauty, her imagery challenges our perceptions of life, encourages the viewer to see and construe these exceptionally delicate visual expressions.

Milos Vasiljevic

Academic sculptor Milos Vasiljevic from Serbia and Montenegro. On my web site you can see some of my sculptures and drawings.

Jeremy Vaughn

I make art that best expresses the tension of opposites. With my paintings, I like to use dark humor and plenty of whimsy, and with photography, I like to show destitution, vastness, and nature. I make art to better understand myself and what place I may have in this huge world. And that's that.

Verane

Verane Guerin is a fine arts painter working out of Saint Tropez, France.

She brings a primal expressionist style to her soulfoul and thought provoking images that at first seem completely devoid of being influenced by her erotic and beautiful working environment.

On second glance one finds themselves being drawn into her sense of the raw human condition.

A soft erotic exploration into the self-awareness of ones own power, desire, fear, and vulnerability.

Robert Verheyen

Rob Verheyen pesents his drawings and paintings.

Truth. It's the number one value I care about unveiling through painting. My art is about capturing the deepest feelings of a subject without the need for words. I believe it's important to strive to see beyond the surface. I want to make this a conscience effort in all my work. I want the work to capture the core essence of the subject matter. I want to reveal something more important, something real, hidden by society's unwritten rules.

Michel-Louis Viala

My work is currently oriented to ceramic sculptures for the outdoors and indoors. I use the raku firing technique to emphasize aspects of nature. The setting is an integral part of the sculpture as is the natural light that plays on the individual pieces of the sculptures, each module of the scuptures being cast in a particular role.

The raku firing develops textures and colours on the modules creating each one totally distinctive from another. Every sculpture is unique and is enlivened by the fire and the smoke of the raku firing technique. My sculptures are made to be not only part of the environment but also part of the imagination of the viewer.

Steve Vickers

I don't like to manipulate my photographs with any kind of computer program. I prefer the viewer see what I saw, What I found interesting enough to photograph. For web use I have had to lower the resolution of many of my photographs to save space but all my prints come from the original full resolution photograph. All my black and white work is hand developed and printed by me.

I prefer to use avalible light for my photography, natural or man made, it doesn't matter, I prefer not to use a flash. I believe the shadows provided by the avalible light add charactor to my photographs and the subjects I choose to photograph.

The Internet is essentially a vehicle of interactive information. On Internet the principle of connection is fundamental. It's necessary, at first, been connected, in that Flaubert assumption's "Il faut absolument re moderne". In second place it's necessary to act, don't be just passive consumers of the information. If we want to think in one art for the Internet, then it should be one "absolument" connectable work of Art, to appreciate it in one active way. A net art should facilitate the intervention of the public, going from the pure navigability to image manipulation.

Luis Henirique Vieira

My principal focus is the mankind figure and our personal identity. This is the main reason why I've been making lots of Portraits all over my career. Besides, I've been paying tribute to the style of some artists of the past, as well as some contemporary names and Art Schools of yore. A great deal of these artists has highly influenced me throughout my working experience, at different moments and in special ways. By doing this, I am trying to discuss the fact that our personality is formed by our cultural environment and all the references, substances that we digest and process. Our globalized bodies and minds are a patchwork frame of the Egyptian rituals, the Turkish baths, the Greek philosophy, Da Vinci's experiments, Velasquez's brush strokes and Dali's delusions. Our origin comes from the magic of the movies, the sinful Catholic Inquisition, the Freudian dreams, the discovery of penicillin and so many other uncountable influences. Nowadays, I've been reflecting upon some of the influences of Pop Art, which have had a significant importance on developing my aesthetical way of thinking.

Henk Vierveijzer

Henk Vierveijzer was born in The Netherlands and educated in Tilburg. His paintings are more or less " Wild Expressions" of apparently normal daily live situations. In 2003 he won the first price in "The Dutch Olympic Sport and Art Contest" with the painting : " Hurray for 4". In Lausanne this same painting ended fifth in "The Sport and Art Contest" of the world.

David Vigon

David's art draws deeply on his experiences in floral design, clothing and textile design, and performance art. After experimenting with oils in various fantasy modes, David chose a realist style subtly imbued with mystery and story. His floral paintings (Mums) are still lifes but they are not still. He contrasts sharp and soft foci, achieves fascinating depth of field, and invests the natural shapes with compelling drama. His paintings of urban life scenes (Mannequins, In Transit) also offer considerable suggestiveness, gently inviting the viewer to follow the concept off canvas. Legs represents a new strand of his work, layering past with future. Pulsating soft-focus backgrounds recall his floral designs behind bright, sharp-focus foreground figures segmented from pop culture. David intends to develop his art as multiple strands, moving from one to the other, using this variety to enrich all his work.

Flora Viguier

Flora Viguier is a young French artist who lives and works in Paris Its work appears on several supports: photographs, slide shows, body painting, installations, paintings, sculptures. What she prefers to show is doubtless the human presence. Welcome!

Mario Villaggi

"Les paysages de l'âme que nous offre Mario Villaggi sont des œuvres fortes, personnelles et qui ne peuvent laisser le spectateur indifférent. Elles sont les témoins sans emphase d'un acte créateur sans tricherie"

"Art brut aux techniques diverses, principalement des portraits, muets pour certains, ont un côté spontané aussi souvent que possible"

"Pour l’utilisation des couleurs, l’aléatoire est également de mise et se maîtrise en fonction de l’esprit du personnage"

Leonor Villagra

My works emerge from strong passions about the issues of my time. I enjoy and use life as my expressionistic classroom. My life in South America and Europe (I had to leave Peru for to living in Belgium): this has had a powerful influence on my understanding and seeing how different peoples and atmospheres combined with new surroundings it create fantastic changing colour palettes. I can almost feel colours and I am inspired to translate this sensation. I grew up between the Peruvian coast, the little towns of the Andes Mountains and Peruvian Amazonian jungle. Peru is the country where I was born In Peru has to live together a different peoples, languages, and species diversity rain forest mammals, birds and reptiles. My life in at rain forest cannot be compared with other which has helped create the beginnings my bright vivid colour choices. I enjoy diving and sailing in the clear waters of the Pacific Ocean and in the grey waters of the North Atlantic Ocean too. I use my creativity to cause people to think critically about their lives and society and to consider ways to improve both... I hope my paintings take you to the peoples and places of their inspiration and I've been trying to use my art to call public attention to the gaps between human ideals and human realities.

Alfred Villenenuve

Life, like a crystal has many facets, some brilliant, some dark. Our 'reality' is bent and shaped by our experiences and it is those experiences that ultimately form our 'beings'. It continues to be my intent to create works that challenge the viewer, to question the enigma of life and to produce a phenomonology in paint and in sculpture.

Michael Viola III

My art is a direct result of my spiritual connection to the Great Mystery that is infinitely larger than us all. The work is intuitive and emulates no other school of process or style. I acknowledge this connection and respect it by living my life in balance, gratitude, and integrity. This is a vibratory state which is maintained through a devoted spiritual connection and a shamanic lifestyle. I translate this frequency of intuitive experience through color, line, and form. Much like the quantum reality in which we exist, forms blend and separate, like parallel realities, communicating different perspectives and experiences.

This interplay gives rise to multilayered depths, dimensions, where the viewer moves deeply within in order to find reflection and recognition. Each viewer's experience is unique and the healing is personal. My purpose in life and in art is to serve community and to ground spirit. This work is a conduit to the divine to which I connect, and sharing it, similarly, facilitates others' connection.

Jemina Vita

I have always questioned the conventional and linear unfolding of time and how past, present, and future are ways too predictable and repetitive to convey experience. My work makes an attempt to step away from tight constrictions of prevailing orders by constantly changing the forms of captured pasts. Memories have been a way for me to focus on the unshaped possibilities of the future. When forgotten, they still continue to coexist in various systems of storage that remain available for recall. I try to demonstrate their nonlinearity in a process that I use as a foundation for my work. I begin by removing the image from old photographs and taking experience out of its assigned position in time. The emulsion is placed between a slide and projected to create a timeless representation that becomes movement free from labels. A condensed substance has now transformed to an expansion of itself. In conjunction with the projections, video installations and sculptures aid in constructing a domain that reveal my cogitative studies of memory.

Stefan Vitanov

Each fractal is a separate world and you can hardly visit all the beautiful places there. This site is dedicated to "fractals as a fine art" and its goal is to discover the beauty beyond the mathematical formulas and computer algorithms. The images in this collection may seem very familiar or perfectly strange, but (I hope) never boring or unnoticeable. Consider them as sights from a digital universe which are worth to share with others, rather then a previously planned artwork.

Analogies with things from reality have been made tendentiously. Special attention has been paid to variations which are possible because of the self-similarity of fractal parts and the richness in coloring possibilities. Thus you will recognize some images as parts of others, or having the same shape, but just different coloring than others. This is one of the most interesting features of fractal technology.

Erik Von Ploennies

My work is a collage of random thoughts and inspiration layered together through a series of improvisational sessions. Much of the content comes from my everyday life experiences. The end result is sometimes convoluted and abstract. It's similar to a dream, where things get mixed together in strange ways.

Richard von Wennerveld

Photographer and body painter. Making art come to life.

Annalisa Vobis

I am fascinated in transforming seemingly ordinary objects into very different appearances resembling various forms of hidden life. Every piece expresses my endless curiosity which is the guiding force that drives my art through an endless jungle of metamorphosis. My choice of theme is spurred on by the wry wit I find in non-representational, biomormorphic sculptures.

Thea Vos

She's fascinated by the magic of symbols, a language of images which represents something invisible. Finding inspiration in reading and travelling to old cultures (Greece, Egypt, Mongolia) Symbols for her represent multiple layers of meaning and interpretation and show the relationship between them and worldly matters. Her paintings consist of a collection images which she composes in a new dimension. With mixed media techniques, she examines the possibilitiy to "translate" the symbols and mysticism into a viewer's own interpretation of reality.

Roxanne Vise

My paintings are a way of expressing my sense of wonder of the natural world. More than just a representation of organic objects, I am inspired by the underlying mystery of their energy and existence – by both their individual beauty and the divine connection to all things. Working in water-based paints and encaustics allows me to be spontaneous - layering shape, texture and color and linking spirit with canvas - setting aside cautions and perfectionism and instead seeking the truth of the moment. My paintings express the emotional and spiritual impact of these insights while leaving finer details and thoughts to the viewer’s imagination.
