Like most reputable galleries throughout the world, Monkdogz Urban Art Inc., in the Chelsea District of New York City is looking to the future of art. We also realize on some level that we are in a unique position to help create tomorrow's art realities. We are on an international search for artists whose work is driven by talent, desire, impact, imagination and a sense of purpose.


Who will be remembered as the art icons of the 21st century?


Selected works will be exhibited at Monkdogz Urban Art Gallery
from July 19 - August 11 2007.



ELIGIBILITY

This Juried Exhibition is open to all media. Selection will be made from slides and jpegs only. (No original works will be viewed during the jurying process.) Two-dimensional work may not exceed 60” high by 48” wide. 3-dimensional work may no exceed 50lbs in weight, 65 cubic feet and when crated must fit through a 96”x36” doorway. (Crates cannot be stored). A multi-part work to be displayed as a single unit that does not exceed the size limitations will be considered a single entry. All work submitted must be available for sale.


SLIDES & JPEG

Each entry is to be represented by one 35mm slide (2x2 cardboard or thin plastic mounts only). For three-dimensional work, two slides showing alternate views should be submitted. Each slide must be labeled with the artist’s name, title of work, media and dimensions. Please indicate TOP. Jpegs may be submitted instead of slides via email to odie@monkdogz.com, via the online image submission button above or on a CD. Please ensure that each image is no more than a maximum of 1MB due to technical limitations. Other formats will not be accepted. Please provide stamped self-addressed envelopes if you require your slides or CD to be returned.


ACCEPTED WORKS

All work must be delivered ready for installation or hanging (framed, wired, Plexiglas only for 2-dimensional work—no glass). The artist must be present to install work that is complicated or difficult to hang or install. Small sculpture should be firmly attached to a base or pedestal provided by the artist. The artist assumes responsibility for the safety of any small sculpture not so attached. Some floor pedestals are available from the gallery. Work must be labeled with the artist’s name, title, media and dimension, as well as the price.


DELIVERY OF ART WORK

Work may be hand delivered or it may be sent by common carrier. Artists must prepay all insurance, shipping and handling fees for return of work. These return forms must be filled out prior to shipping work to the gallery. Work will not be exhibited without prepaid return labels.


REMOVAL OF WORK

All work must be picked up at the gallery at the removal times listed on the form. Due to space limitations, the gallery cannot provide storage of art works. Work not removed by specified dates will be moved to a storage facility. The artist will be charged $50 per day for storage and work will be disposed of after 30 days.


LIABILITY AND SALES

Artwork will be covered by fine arts insurance whilst in the gallery. Submission of work for this exhibit constitutes agreement with all terms and conditions stated above. The gallery charges 35% commission on all works sold as a result of the exhibition. The Gallery reserves the right not to exhibit any work that is not considered appropriate in kind or quality when received. No substitution of the selected work will be installed.
